Based in Canada, OSOYOO crafts STEM products and robot kits using open-source hardware like Arduino and Raspberry Pi. Comprising engineers and teachers from Canada, the USA, and Japan, our team offers expertise in programming, engineering, and science. With detailed tutorials, videos, and sample codes, our products ensure seamless learning. Certified by CE, UL, FCC, and ROHS, quality and safety are our priorities.
OSOYOO maintains rigorous quality control, testing each component for reliability, and provides responsive customer support and hassle-free warranties. Our products find applications in education, robotics, home automation, IoT projects, and STEM learning environments, among others. Designed by Canadian engineers and educators, our products stand out for their tailored STEM learning experiences and innovative, user-friendly features.
A simple circuit consists of an energy source (a battery), an output device (a bulb in this case), wires (usually made of copper) to connect the circuit components, and a switch to control the flow of electricity. When the switch is in the "open" position, there is a break in the circuit, and the output device does not light up. When the switch is in the "close" position, there is a complete path along which electricity can flow, and the bulb lights up.
The circuit where all current travels through each device is called a series circuit. If the circuit becomes open when the switch is turned off or one light bulb is removed, the current stops flowing, and this is called an 'open circuit'. The lightbulbs on a Christmas tree are an example of a real-world series circuit. Series circuits use less wiring and can provide a warning if one of the components fails.
In a parallel circuit, there are several current paths. When one bulb is removed, the current to that bulb stops flowing, but the other bulb(s) will continue to work, as the current is separate. Homes are typically wired with parallel circuits so that even if one thing goes off, other things will continue to work. Parallel circuits are useful if you want everything to work even if one component has failed.
The OSOYOO Early Learners Kit is ideal for learning about circuits and electricity in a fun and educational way. The instructions are designed to be informative and simple to follow, allowing even the most novice parent or instructor to explain and set up simple circuits with their child. This will allow you and your children or students to see the cause and effects behind electrical interference.
The kit includes 5 mini lightbulbs, 2 lightbulb sockets, 2 battery holders, 1 switch, 1 plastic storage box, 1 experiment guide, and wires. It's the perfect introduction to safely explain and demonstrate the dangers of electricity as well as proper safety techniques. This fun and safe physics set for kids to learn about electricity allows them to practice building series and parallel circuits step-by-step, stimulating their curiosity and early STEM intelligence. It's also a great teaching aid for science teachers to use in hands-on electricity lessons.
